For this case study, a saxophonist performed a song for the class called Deep Dive Blues. After listening to the composition, we each set out to take a “deeper dive” into how the ebbs and flows of the melody translate visually. The sounds I heard immediately brought me into a dark and moody speakeasy filled with smoke, one you might have found yourself in during prohibition.
